CluePoints is excited to participate in a brand-new annual conference designed to help the research sector level up its artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) use.
AI and ML have the potential to revolutionize clinical trial management, but not every company is ready to embrace the change. While some are already implementing solutions and harvesting valuable insights, others still see utilizing the technology as a future endeavor.
That’s where the Association for Clinical Data Management’s (ACDM) day-long AI and ML symposium comes in.
The Event
The inaugural AI and ML conference will consist of presentations, panel discussions, practical demonstrations, and networking, allowing pharma, contract research organizations, and technology companies to discuss AI and ML technology and its applications in clinical trials. Attendees will also be able to look at practical examples and use cases during the event.
Among the featured speakers will be Nicolas Huet, Machine Learning Manager at CluePoints, who will talk about Technical Challenges during the Overcoming Challenges Using AI & ML session. Oliver Hermann, CEO and Senior Consultant at QFINITY and co-lead of the ISPE GAMP DACH Steering Committee, will provide perspective on validation and associated challenges during the same session.
These presentations will begin what promises to be an exciting and thought-provoking symposium.
What to Expect
During the morning, symposium speakers will introduce the world of AI and ML, explaining what they are and how they are being applied within the research industry and beyond. These speakers, including Jennifer Bradford, Director of Data Science at Phastar, and Marcus Schwabedissen, COO and Senior Executive Consultant at QFINITY, will provide delegates with a high-level understanding of the fundamentals of the technology and pave the way for an interactive day of learning, insights, and discussion.
After lunch, Ib Alstrup, IT Medicines Inspector at the Danish Medicines Agency, and Iela Gadea, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at the Institute for Digital Transformation in Healthcare, will speak about navigating the regulatory and ethical aspects of AI and ML within the industry.
In addition, Ashley Howard, Director and Senior asset lead at Pfizer will present a case study on how the companies used AI to support “lightspeed data review” during the COVID-19 vaccine trials.
There will also be a range of interactive panel and Q&A sessions held throughout the day, as well as multiple opportunities to network.
The Details
The ACDM 2022 symposium will take place on October 20, 2022, at the Hilton Paddington in London. CluePoints’ own Nicolas Huet will begin his presentation at 10 am. For more event details, visit the conference website.
